non-profit consultant

about me (she/her)

For the last 20 years my passion has been helping great people and organisations to do good stuff. After years working in front-line charity roles for UK Youth, Catch 22, UpRising and as a small charity CEO - I’ve spent the last 7 years honing my skills as a non profit consultant.

After completing an MBA, I worked with amazing organisations such as Carers Trust, National Brain Appeal and World Rugby as a Director of Oaks Consultancy. Having taken the leap into the freelance world, I am on a mission to help even more awesome organisations with strategy, income generation and governance (and much more!)

I’ve also set up and run my own charity - Metal For Good, blending my passion for heavy music and doing good!

how I can help…

strategy

Writing a strategy can be overwhelming, particularly for superhero small charity CEOs with an endless list of priorities. I can help you break it down into manageble chunks, gather the views of your stakeholders, and set realstic goals and measures.

income generation

From bid-writing to dynamic income generation strategies, I can help you figure out exciting and innovative ways to fund your impact. Need a business plan? I can help you put together a plan which will explain to even the most hard-to-please funder how you will grow your organisation.

governance

If you’re thinking about setting up your own charity or social enterprise (or converting from one to another!), I can help you work through the often intimidating process and pull together the main policies and documents you need to get started. I also love helping boards run more effectively and explore strategic options such as mergers and aquisitions.

other stuff

I’ve been lucky enough to work on some amazing projects for amazing organisations, from programme design to project management, training to partnership development - if you have a challenge that needs an extra pair of eyes or hands, then get in touch!

get in touch!

If you think I might be able to help you, don’t hesitate to drop me a message for an informal chat. I know how difficult it is juggling the demands of working for a small charity or social enterprise, and whilst my typical day rate ranges from £300-£500, this can vary depending on how complex the project is, and the size/turnover of the organisation.
